RACING PRODUCTS

RFR Custom Dry Sump for the 2009/2010 Suzuki
GSXR-100 Engine

The RFR Dry Sump is the only track tested and proven reliable dry sump for the 2009/2010 Suzuki GSXR-1000 engine available on the market today.

In development for more than a year and with more than one season of on track testing and racing completed, the RFR Dry Sump has an outstanding record of accomplishment, including winning the first race it ever competed in.

The RFR Dry Sump was developed by Ralph Firman Racing in the United Kingdom in cooperation with Firman West Cars and George Dean Dyno Services for racing applications using the 2009/2010 Suzuki GSXR-1000 engine.

The RFR Dry Sump Kit includes the Firman West Cars Suzuki engine modification kit. The modification kit was developed after extensive testing and dyno to eliminate pressure drops and ensure the engine maintains a constant 60 psi optimal operating temperature even while experiencing high lateral g's during cornering.

Firman West Cars is the sole distributor for the RFR Dry Sump in North America.

Firman West Cars F1 Style
Paddle Shifter

The Firman West Cars F1 Style Paddle Shifter System is a custom made air-assisted paddle shift system that was designed to Firman West Cars' Specifications.

The paddle shift system provides an absolute no-fault shift mechanism that cuts the engine ignition between shifts along with rpm matching shift points that eliminates all potential over-revs, providing seamless gear transitions.

The paddle shift system design allows for a complete no-lift driving application for both upshifts and downshifts. The driver is not required to lift off the throttle in between gear shifts as is the case with many less sophisticated paddle shift systems.

The paddle shifter system mounts directly to the steering wheel allowing the driver complete freedom of movement while driving, providing an F1 tactile feel and shift response that gives the driver confident feedback with each shift engaged.

The paddle shift system also reduces wear and tear on the gearbox extending the life of gearbox and engine.

Engines

Firman West Cars can supply several different types of Suzuki engines to fit your needs, including the latest 2009/2010 Suzuki GSXR-1000 engine.

The Suzuki 2009/2010 GSXR-1000, 191bhp, standard specification ECU with custom wiring harness.

The 2009/2010 Suzuki GSXR-1000 engine is an all new design that is smaller and lighter than previous models, while increasing both horsepower and compression.

The compression ratio has been increased from 12.5.1 to 12.8:1. The engine employs several design changes to improve reliability including the use of enlarged titanium valves, forged pistons, shot-peened conrods and the Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM)-plated cylinders which are integrated into the crankcase, reducing friction and improving heat transfer, durability and ring seal.

In addition to 2009/2010 Suzuki engines, Firman West Cars can provide a range of other engine options including 2007/2008 Suzuki GSXR-1000 and earlier model Suzuki engines upon request.
